Highland Recording Studio
Highland Recording Studio is owned by a close friend and colleague, Matt McGee, a Nashville session bassist. It is a nice, cozy studio near I-24 in Murfreesboro offering state-of-the-art recording capabilities and a convenient location. Highland Recording has all the necessities to produce top notch albums. It features a modestly sized live room, a great sounding iso-room for acoustic instruments, a voice-over booth, a very nice vocal isolation room, a first class drum room, and a lounge area. Matt is a wonderfully talented recording engineer and bass player. He is a pleasure to work with.
Oak Valley Studio
Oak Valley Studio has been recognized repeatedly over the past twenty years by the Southern Gospel Industry as well as the Country Music Industry for the top quality recordings made there. MasterMix Music is proud to have tracked many sessions there. They offer one of the finest control rooms, a very nice drum room, a private vocal iso-room, and a very large live room with enough space for an entire band. This is a great choice when lots of space is needed or if we are tracking your whole band at once.
Sound Control Studios
Sound Control Studios is a beautiful Nashville studio made famous by their work with Porter Wagoner, Garth Brooks, Tanya Tucker, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Vince Gill, George Jones, Lee Greenwood and many other recognizable superstars. Mark Moseley is the engineer/owner there, and he has a proven track record for helping artists make their dreams come true. You could be the next. The Family Room
The Family Room Studios, aka "Rob's Place" has always been a favorite with our artists. Adrian Payne is the engineer there. He is an eight time Grammy award winning engineer, producer, writer, performer, etc. The Family Room is Rob Tripp's studio. Rob is the son of the legendary Lavergne Tripp, a world renown gospel singer, songwriter, evangelist. Rob is also one of the very best session drummer's in the city. We have used Rob on numerous professional projects, many of which have been released to national Christian radio for broadcast. The Family Room studio is spacious, has an elegant reception room, a great live room, plenty of iso-rooms, and comfortable seating in the control room for onlookers. MasterMix is proud to offer this studio in our lineup of excellent production facilities.
Trinity Music City Recording Studios
Trinity Music City Recording Studios is a fantastic facility. Artists who have recorded at Columbia Studios in New York, United Artists in L.A. or Sony Studios right here in Nashville say those "big name" studios have nothing on Trinity. TMC also known as TBN Studios, as in Trinity Broadcasting Network, has the best sound and atmosphere that can be found at any price, anywhere, bar none. It is a "top-of-the-line" offering with the most impressive arsenal of gear, the largest number of isolation rooms, and the biggest live room that you'll find anywhere. Recording at TBN will inspire you to perform at your very best. TBN is a first rate winner no matter how you look at it. MasterMix Music has produced many, many artists there, and we can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone.
United Artist Tower Studio Nashville
We have done lots of tracking in the U.A. Tower. This studio on the forth floor comes to mind. Much of "The Great I Am" project was tracked here, and so was the "Friends For Life" CD. The U.A. Tower carries with it great clout in the form of name recognition and a wonderful Pro Tools control and tracking system. There is an excellent sounding piano room, drum room, and other iso-rooms for vocals, guitar overdubs, etc. This studio also features a very comfortable lounge and break area for those times when you need to relax between takes or lay out on a particular song or two. MasterMix has produced several projects here; in fact, this is the place where we first met the consummate master of piano, keyboards, and arrangements, Dirk Johnson. What a blessing!
UpFront Studios
UpFront Studios is owned and operated by Terry Thompson, a very successful Nashville recording engineer. MasterMix Music produced several projects there in its early years, and we had the pleasure of participating in sessions for the "Living Out The Dream" CD, which was also partially recorded there. The players on that session were Scott Sanders on steel, Terry McMillan on harmonica and percussion, Jason Webb on piano and keys, Gary Lunn on bass, and Scott Williamson on drums. It was that session, actually, where we first met some of the most awesome players that we have used again and again to produce chart topping hits for our artists.
Watershed Recording Studios
Will Ackerman has long been my hero for his beautifully crafted noiseless and pristine recordings of acoustical instruments. There are only two studios within a hundred miles of Nashville that MasterMix has carefully chosen for their capabilities in this area. The first is MasterMix Studio and the other is Watershed. Owned by Mr. Mark Burchfied, Watershed offers exactly what we need for our style of recording. They have lots of ultra low-noise passive microphones as well as top of the line cabling and preamps and the ability to record in ultra high-definition.
